For the first time, we are offering our portable, vinyl Peace Path with a Livestream Lesson for students! Soul Shoppe’s Peace Path comes with a tutorial for adults to get familiar with the process and be able to act as a guide. A livestream lesson is offered to the students who will be using the peace path so that they know what to expect and when and how to use it.

Students of all ages need to learn how to better feel and comprehend their emotions as well as demonstrate empathy for others. This is especially true in cases of situational conflict. The Soul Shoppe’s Peace Path® helps students resolve problems and conflicts by using SEL skills and strategies to work out their problems. The (literal) path to peace gives visual cues for a seven-step restorative process that students move through for peace. Each person gets to talk about how they feel, say what they need, listen and be heard, take responsibility for their part, and finally, offer forgiveness and be forgiven. This peer-based conflict resolution model, which combines social and emotional skills with practical action steps, has been taught to and, more importantly, used by tens of thousands of students through this portable tool. One of the unique aspects of Soul Shoppe’s Peace Path® is that, through time, the skills become a way of being, making this model of peaceful resolution and empathic mindfulness a foundation that lasts a lifetime. Soul Shoppe’s Peace Path® was recognized by the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibet, as a model for encouraging students to become peacemakers by using their emotional skills to navigate difficult social situations. The companion video tutorial and guidebook are included to teach how to use the Soul Shoppe Peace Path® with step-by-step instructions as well as best practices for using it most effectively. Additionally, the tutorial shares the science used in creating the Soul Shoppe Peace Path®, and can be purchased separately as needed.

Physically, the Soul Shoppe Peace Path® measures 3′ x 5′ and features color-coded action steps. It is made of high-quality vinyl for easy care and durability. About Livestream Lesssons There are times when it can be helpful to students to learn about Soul Shoppe’s Peace Path® directly from a trained Soul Shoppe expert facilitator through Livestream Lessons. While the Soul Shoppe’s Peace Path® is a straightforward model for restorative conflict resolution, learning how to work with it can surface personal challenges and questions for students. By having a Soul Shoppe facilitator deliver the Soul Shoppe Peace Path® curriculum, students learn about the process of mindful communication, empathy, and self-awareness for personal accountability in stressful situations. Lessons are 45 minutes. Students can attend any of the livestreams on the following dates: April 18, 2022 | April 25, 2022 | May 2, 2022 | May 9, 2022 9am for grades K-3 | 10am for grades 4-6 (Times are PDT)
