Soul Shoppe’s Second Annual Peacemaker Awards & Fundraiser
A virtual celebration to honor local Peacemakers

It’s the time of year to celebrate peace and Peacemakers!
At Soul Shoppe, we witness schools committed to change. We see principals, teachers, and students work toward peace, empathy, and respect for everyone. In our 1-hour virtual celebration, we will honor schools and students who are making a difference through their Soul Shoppe Peacemaker Program.
During this 1-hour event, you will:
- Learn from Peacemakers the differences that they have created this school year
- Hear students talk about how they’re creating more on-campus peace
- Be uplifted by the power of empathy, compassion and resilience
- Celebrate the good work done on a daily basis on school campuses
- Have the opportunity to support, contribute financially, and be a part of this peace movement

Administrator of the Year
Kimberly Valentino, Principal, Dayton Elementary, San Lorenzo USD
As Principal of Dayton Elementary, Kimberly has gone above and beyond, making Dayton Elementary the first official Peace School in San Lorenzo School District. Not only has she brought every aspect possible of Soul Shoppe’s peace programs onto her campus, she led by example for the school and greater district by becoming a fully certified Peacemaker Trainer herself. Together with her fellow Peacemaker Trainers, Nicole Grashton and Jennifer Cartwright, the entire school has caught the Peacemaker spirit. Bravo, Dayton!

From the very start of Soul Shoppe’s Peacemaker Trainer Certification, the PM Trainer team at Halkin Elementary has been on fire! It has been a pleasure and inspiration to watch this team grow, and see their Peacemakers continue to blossom under the guidance of Deanna, Sean, and now Sergio as well. Go Team Halkin in San Leandro Unified!
Student Peacemaker Team of the Year
Southgate Elementary, Hayward USD
When this all-fourth grade Peacemaker Team first stepped out into the yard, no one knew what a profound effect they would have on their school. Within a matter of weeks, the entire fourth grade was transformed. Now conflicts rarely happen, students are standing up for each other in totally new ways, and students in other grades are asking, how can we become Peacemakers too? And it’s just the beginning. Leading the way in Hayward…go first Peacemaker Team at Southgate!
These committed individuals support students and future leaders to take on life-changing behaviors that will serve them all their lives. Ultimately, that changes the future for all of us.
Spend 1 hour with us to take 1 giant step towards peace, honor Peacemakers, and raise funds to bring more fun, safety, and peace to kids and playgrounds everywhere!
